Direct Care Staff (Greenland, NH)

Position Description
Joshua House Direct Care Staff are key to ensuring the safety and well-being of families during their stay in the Seacoast Family Promise program. Direct Care Staff provide resident support, monitor household upkeep, and provide oversight of resident daily living at the Joshua House during hours of operation.

Direct Care Staff are responsible for completing daily shift reports, incident logs, routine cleaning, restocking supplies, and preparing for daily needs. This role requires a compassionate, and collaborative individual who is organized, reliable, and passionate about serving families experiencing homelessness.

Required Shifts

• Saturday, 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM
• Saturday (overnight), 11:00 PM - 9:00 AM
• Sunday, 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM
• Friday, 5:30 PM - 11:30 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide care and supervision to families and the facility during hours of operation
• Complete shift reports and required documentation
• Follow all emergency procedures and report any incidents
• Complete daily shift routine and necessary programing
• General housekeeping
• Maintain confidentiality
• Listen and engage with families and volunteers

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid drivers license
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Human Service/Case Management related education or experience
• Trauma-informed care certification or training preferred
• Reliable, compassionate, communicative, attentive, and respectful
• Work effectively on a team and excellent time management skills
• Attend all supervision and scheduled staff meetings

Health and Safety

• Seacoast Family Promise is a drug and alcohol-free workplace
• Criminal record search required
• First aid certificate is a plus
